I first visited Warsaw in 1992, as Poland began yet another rebirth, following decades of Eastern-Bloc oppression.
I next returned some eighteen years later, filled with the anticipation created by years of faded memories. I knew the moment I emerged from Centralna Station, on a misty May morning in 2014, that Warsaw was special. Or at least special to me.
In the last few years I have visited many, many times and fallen increasingly in love with the city, its people, its places and its way of being.
Kocham Warszawę. I love Warsaw. This is for you.
Project Overview_
I wanted to capture my feelings toward this magnificent city in video. Glimpsed memories, like an old slideshow, fill my mind whenever I recall my cherished times there.
With a soundtrack that, to me at least, pays homage to those memories.
